Pachmarhi is a hill station located in the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh. It is a small tourist place located 1000m high on the Satpura Range and is named as Satpura Ki Rani for its scenic beauty. The region is rich in natural scenic beauty, has a number of waterfalls, ancient caves and abundance of wildlife.

One of the main attraction of this place is the National Park which is natural habitat for a number tigers. Pachmarhi is also well known for its ancient caves which contain paintings that have been dated as far back as 10,000 years.

Best time to Visit Pachmarhi

Summer runs from May to June in Pachmarhi when the mercury touches around 35 degree centigrade. Temperature drops down after sunset and the nights become pleasant. Monsoon season is from July to September and the region receives scant rainfall.

Winter commences from November and goes up to February and the mercury drops considerably to hover around 4 degree centigrade mark. The ideal season to visit Pachmarhi is from October to February when the weather remains cool and pleasant.
